November 30, 2007 Dave Parkinson and Tracy Lamourie  On Ste.-Catherine St., Montreal 2004  In Central Park, New York City 1996 The CCADP in conjunction with AIDWYC sponsored Juan Melendez visit to Toronto to speak at Metro Hall, March 5, 2005. Melendez spent 17 years on death row for a 1983 murder to which another man had repeatedly confessed - evidence prosecutors withheld. Juan had a webpage with Canadian Coalition Against The Death Penalty webpage proclaiming his innocence when he was still on Florida's death row until he was finally released January 3, 2002.  |
